Privacy Policy
Truvo is made by Fore1st LLC, Cincinnati, Ohio ("we"). This page explains what Truvo does with your meeting audio and text, in plain words.
1. What Truvo records
Truvo records a call only after you start or accept the recording. It records your microphone and the sound of the call on your PC.
2. What stays on your PC
The recording, the transcript and the summary are saved on your PC, in Documents\Truvo unless you choose another folder. We do not receive copies of these files. If that folder is synced to a cloud service (such as OneDrive), the files are also stored by that service under its own terms.
3. Services that process your meeting
To make the transcript and summary, Truvo sends your meeting to two service providers over an encrypted connection:
- Deepgram turns the audio into a transcript. Truvo sends the audio directly to Deepgram with a setting that tells Deepgram not to keep it after processing and not to use it to improve its models.
- Anthropic (the maker of Claude) writes the summary from the transcript text. Anthropic does not use this content to train its models, and by default does not keep it after responding. Anthropic may keep content for up to two years if its safety systems flag it, or when required by law.
Both providers hear or read your meeting content in order to process it. Their handling is governed by their agreements with us.
4. Our pilot server
During the pilot, Truvo uses our server to connect to these providers, so no service keys are stored on your PC. The transcript text passes through this server on its way to Anthropic; it is not stored or logged. Audio does not pass through our server. The server keeps only usage counts for each invite code (for example, the number of transcriptions in a month), so we can apply pilot limits.
5. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
- Truvo does not create or store voiceprints.
- No bot joins your calls.
6. Logs and support
Truvo keeps a technical log on your PC (for example, when a recording started and stopped). It is not sent to us automatically. If you ask for help, we may ask you to send it, and you choose whether to do so. If you email us, we keep your email to answer you.
7. Your responsibility when recording
Tell everyone in the call that you are recording, and get their consent where the law requires it. Some US states, such as California and Illinois, require the consent of everyone in the call.
8. Deleting your data
You can delete any recording, transcript or summary from your PC at any time. Because we do not keep copies of your meetings, there is nothing for us to delete on our side except usage counts and support emails, which we delete on request.
9. Children
Truvo is not intended for anyone under 18.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above, and tell pilot testers directly about any significant change.
